The meeting was called to order by Carl Webb, President, 6:05 p.m.

Minutes (Yanagi): Corrected: Delete "Draft," Eb's name is spelled Lemcke. Approved (Dias/Kent)

Treasurer's Report (K. Webb): The report was for April (part) and May 2009. Balance is $13,165.38 (checking), and $3,442.40 (CDs). Approved (Dias/Cancilla). C.Webb reported that there is another CD at California Savings Bank. Â He suggested that all mail be sent to San Lorenzo Friends of the Library, P.O. Box 152, San Lorenzo, CA 94580, and to keep records in the safe deposit box. Approved (Kent/Lemcke).

Library (Dos Santos): Carpet cleaning: The estimate for cleaning the meeting room carpet is $320 to $450; Kent and Dos Santos will discuss a more economical way to do this.

Summer Reading Program through September: Â Projected need is $3100 of which $800 has already been presented by the Friends. Â Dos Santos explained that the cost is shared by the Friends and the San Lorenzo library's trust fund which includes private donations.

Book Sale (C.Webb and Kent): Next sale starts June 25 (Thursday), with setting up beginning at 10a.m. on the day before. Kent has purchased crates that permit more efficient storage and display. Board volunteers are needed to help clean up the shed during book sale days. The patio will be used as an additional display area and in the future, the San Lorenzo Homes Association hall might be utilized for the sale. Following book sale: September 17th through 23rd.

Centennial Celebration in 2010 (C.Webb): There is a 100th anniversary committee being formed and Betty Moose, the chairperson, is expected to present a projected budget to the Friends in August for Board approval.

Banks (C.Webb): The checking account signature bankcard at Bank of the West will have the following three signatures: Dias, C. Webb, and Lemcke, and any one of the three persons may sign checks. Approved (Kent/Dias).

The safe deposit box signature bankcard at Bank of the West will have the following three signatures: Dias, C. Webb, and Lemcke, with access by any one of the three persons. Approved (Kent/Lemcke).

The Certificates of Deposit signature bankcards at Bank of the West, Pacific National, Chase Washington Mutual, and California Saving Bank will have the following three signatures: Dias, C. Webb, and Lemcke, and any one of the three persons may have access. Approved (Cancilla/Dias).

Lemcke said that any fund raising money should be kept in a special account.

Farmers' Market (Kent): The Farmers' Market in San Lorenzo will start Saturday May 30 through November, 9:00 am. to 1:00 p.m. The Friends will be in the "Community" booth once a month. Approved (Kent/Lemcke). Kent has a table and canopy. We selected the first Saturday of each month to participate. Approved (Dias/Yanagi).

By-Laws (C.Webb): Will be discussed in January.
